Representative Volleyball in Otago occurs in the first half of the calendar year, where representative teams from U17 to opens work towards the national inter-provincial championships, hosted each year over King’s Birthday weekend. Otago has a strong presence on the representative level, with both girls’ and boys’ teams often represented across all divisions (U17, U19, U23 and Opens). Our representative teams are selected in the first quarter of the year, these teams assemble, train, and play together, often against other South Island associations, this in the leadup to IPCs, where they do battle with the best teams from associations all around the country.
